Common use
Zhewitra Oral Jelly is a medicine that is often used to treat impotence or erectile dysfunction (ED) in males. The medical condition when a male loses the ability to get and maintain an erection is called ED. Physicians may prescribe this medication to treat other medical conditions such as pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Vardenafil is the active ingredient of the Zhewitra Oral Jelly. This medication belongs to the group of medications called phosphodiesterase type-5 (PDE-5) inhibitors.
Dosage and direction
The recommended dose of Zhewitra Oral Jelly contains 20 mg of Vardenafil, it is available in a pack of sachet. Take it an hour before intercourse. In case of adverse effects it is recommended to reduce the dose to 5 mg daily. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Strictly follow all recommendations of your doctor and never take the drug if it was not prescribed to you.
Precautions
Zhewitra Oral Jelly is not recommended in patients who have a stroke or heart failure, or a heart attack in history and especially within last six month. Before using Zhewitra Oral Jelly inform your doctor if you have serious renal impairment, a bleeding disorder, stomach ulcerations, or an inherited retinal disorder such as retinitis pigmentosa, allergic reaction to this medicine or any other medicines, deformation of the penis such as angulation, cavernous fibrosis (Peyronie's disease), as well as in diseases that contribute to the development of priapism (sickle-cell anemia, multiple myeloma, leukemia, or leukemia).
Contraindications
Zhewitra Oral Jelly cannot be prescribed in patients who are hypersensitive to its ingredients, ones treated with organic nitrates. Use in individuals who have not reached the age of 16 y.o. is contraindicated. Concomitant use of HIV protease inhibitors such as indinavir and ritonavir with Zhewitra Oral Jelly is prohibited.
Possible side effect
If you are noticing any of the following adverse effects, stop using Zhewitra Oral Jelly and ask for medical help immediately: Chest pain; Non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION); Hypertension (high blood pressure); Dizziness during sexual activity; Seizures; Priapism.
The most frequent Zhewitra Oral Jelly side effects are: headache, flushing (hyperemia of the person), dizziness, diarrhea, nausea, stuffy nose.
Drug interaction
Some substances and medicines may interact with Vardenafil. Therefore, other drugs may change how this medication works by decreasing the effectiveness or even increasing the risk of side effects. Before taking Zhewitra Oral Jelly, tell your doctor about all products that you are using. For example prescription drugs, nonprescription drugs, supplements, herbal products, vitamins, and others. Check some examples of drug interaction: Warfarin; Digoxin; Nitroglycerin; Isosorbide; Doxazosin; Tamsulosin; Riociguat; Itraconazole; Ketoconazole; ED medicines that contain other active ingredients such as Dapoxetine, Sildenafil Citrate, Tadalafil, and others; Rifampin; Clarithromycin.
Missed dose
In case, you forget about this medicine and miss a dose, you should take it as soon as possible. However, if it is near the time for the next dose, just skip the missed dose and continue the regular treatment. It is not allowed to administer an increased dose to catch up without the doctor’s recommendations because it may increase the risk of side effects.
Overdose
If you take more tablets than your doctor prescribes, you may experience an overdose. Stop using Zhewitra Oral Jelly and consult a doctor right away if you notice any of the following symptoms: severe dizziness, fainting, trouble breathing.
Storage
Store at room temperature out of reach of children and pets, away from moisture and sunlight.
