Common use
The main use of Enclomisign is in the management of infertility in women who are not ovulating properly or have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). It belongs to the group of non-steroidal selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs). Enclomisign is also used to manage secondary hypogonadism in men, a condition where the body does not produce enough testosterone.
Dosage and direction
Enclomisign can be taken orally. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew it. You can take this medicine with or without food, as per your doctor's advice. Do not exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.
Precautions
Enclomisign can cause visual disturbances like blurred vision or spots. This may affect your ability to drive or operate heavy machinery. It is advisable to avoid these activities if you experience any such side effects.
Enclomisign is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by the doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before starting this medicine.
Caution is advised when using Enclomisign in patients with liver disease, abnormal uterine bleeding, or ovarian cysts. It's important that these patients are closely monitored for any complications during treatment.
Contraindications
Enclomisign is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Enclomiphene or any of its components. It is also contraindicated in patients with undiagnosed abnormal uterine bleeding, ovarian cysts or enlargement not due to PCOS, liver dysfunction or disease, and hormone-dependent tumours like breast, uterine, or ovarian cancer.
Possible side effect
Side effects of Enclomisign: Hot flashes; Headache; Nausea and vomiting; Breast tenderness; Visual disturbances.
Drug interaction
Enclomisign may interact with estrogens, oral contraceptives (such as ethinyl estradiol), lipid-lowering medicines (like statins), thyroid hormone replacement medication (such as levothyroxine), and immunosuppressants (such as cyclosporine).
Missed dose
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Overdose
An overdose of Enclomisign may cause symptoms like nausea, vomiting, hot flashes, visual disturbances or ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. If you observe these symptoms, inform your doctor immediately.
Storage
Store Enclomisign in a cool, dry place, at a temperature below 30°C. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight or heat. Keep it tightly sealed in its original packaging. Keep away from children and pets. Ensure you use before the expiry date printed on the pack.
